1.What is the scope of online redemption of award tickets?

Award tickets for China Southern Airlines and some airline partners may be redeemed at the portals of CSAir (except for code-sharing flights between CSAir and other airlines).

PS: CSAir’s airline partners are: Aerolíneas Argentinas (AR), Alitalia (AZ), China Airlines (CI), Delta Air Lines (DL), China Xiamen Airlines (MF), Aeroflot-Russian Airlines (SU), Vietnam Airlines (VN), Air France (AF), Korean Air (KE), Air Holland (KL), and Middle East Airlines (ME).

2.What kind of award can I redeem with Sky Pearl Club miles?
You could use the miles to redeem the award ticket and upgrade on the flights of China Southern Airlines and Sichuan Airlines.

In addition,you could redeem non-air awards at Sky Pearl Club website.

Sky Pearl Club will keep introducing other awards for mileage redemption, play stay tuned.


3.What standards shall be reached for initial redemption?

There will be no redemption threshold for Sky Pearl Membership, all members shall be entitled for redemption as soon as standards are reached (unless otherwise specified for certain redemption products) .


4.How could I inquire how much miles are needed for redemption of award ticket or award upgrade?
Log in skypearl.csair.com to inquire miles needed for redemption of Sky Pearl award ticket or award upgrade through ">Calculate Miles" in "Fast Search" bar.
5.How to redeem award ticket with miles?

1. Call the sales service hotline of China Southern Airlines (Mainland 95539, International +86-20-86682000), our customer service representatives will reserve the award flight and deduct the miles according to your redemption requirement, and you will obtain the transaction No. and seat No.. The ticket will be issued at the designated ticketing counters upon the transaction No., seat No. and ID card or passport.

2. You can also directly log in the "Sky Pearl Club" on CZ official website.

6.What documents are required for getting award ticket and award upgrade at Ticket Office?

1. If the awards are for yourself as a club member, you should provide:

Originals and copies of your Sky Pearl Card and your identity card (with your personal signatures on the copies).

2.  If the awards are to be transferred to others, the following are required:

Originals and copies of your Sky Pearl Card and your identity card (with your personal signatures on the copies),  originals and copies of the passenger’s identity card;

3. If you entrust someone else to collect the tickets for you, besides the certificates above, you need also provide originals and copies of the one who collects the tickets for you.

7.How long can award ticket be reserved before ticket issuance?
For China Southern Airlines flights, seat can be reserved until two hours before takeoff after deducting miles. But during peak period, such as Spring Festival, May Day, National Day and Canton Fair, ticket issuance shall be done as soon as possible.
8.Are the same miles required for redeeming award ticket for children and adults?
Standards of redeeming award ticket for children and infants are the same to that of adults.
9.If there are no seats for award ticket, what should I do?
As the seats for award ticket are limited in each flight, please plan your journey as soon as possible and book it in advance.
10.How could I know my award ticket is successfully booked?
Call the sales service hotline (Mainland: 95539 and International: +86-20-86682000) to inquire it.
11.Can I redeem award ticket for my friends with my miles?
Yes, you can. But you need to add your friends to your redemption assignee list of award ticket. Each member can add 8 assignees at most.
12.If I haven't got enough miles to redeem award ticket, can I pay for extra miles?
Sorry, cash isn't available for purchase of miles now.
13.Do I need to pay when I redeem award ticket?
Taxes and dues related to award ticket and award upgrade, such as airport construction fee, bunker adjustment factor and so on, should be paid by passengers themselves.
14.How long is award ticket valid?
Award tickets are valid for one year from the date of travel. Unused award tickets are valid for one year from the date of issue.
15.If award ticket is redeemed with miles, but it isn't available, what shall I do?

Change: 

Within the ticket validities, members can change the ticket for several times. The fee will be charged as bellow:


On or more than 24 hours before departure

Less than 24 hours before departure

Domestic Ticket

50 RMB or equal currency per ticket per change

100 RMB or equal currency per ticket per change

International and Hong Kong/Tai Wan Area Ticket

100 RMB or equal currency per ticket per change

200 RMB or equal currency per ticket per change

Tickets issued on and after 15th September 2015 would be applicable to the new rule above. In addition, it is for free for those involuntary situations.

> Lower award classes would be also allowed to change to if the new flight does not have the same class for the change, while the mileage difference cannot be refund.

> What follows is the situation that the change cannot be implemented: 1.The award ticket without tax payment. 2. Non-issued award tickets.

Refund: If a member asks for a refund, he/she should make the request within thirteen months from the date of travel (or from the date of issuance if the first segment of the ticket is unused), or CSAir has the right to refuse (This provision began to take effect from October 26, 2014). For a voluntary refund of a totally unused ticket, 50% percent of the mileage will be refunded; for an involuntary refund of a totally unused ticket, all the mileage as well as taxes and surcharges will be refunded. For a voluntary refund of a partly used ticket, no mileage will be refunded; for an involuntary refund of a partly used ticket, only the mileage as well as taxes and surcharges for the unused segment will be refunded.
16.If award tickets are lost, what to do?
Sorry, lost award tickets will not be replaced nor refunded.
17.What kind of fares are available for award upgrade with miles?

1. For redemption of award upgrades of China Southern Airlines flights (ticket reservation) with mileage redemption, your tickets must be of the following classes: 

Flights in mainland China: F/P/J/C/D/I/W/S/Y/B/M

Regional and international flights: F/P/J/C/D/I/W/S/Y/B/M/H

2. For redemption of award upgrades of China Southern Airlines flights (airport) with mileage redemption, your tickets must be of the following classes:  

Flights in mainland China: F/P/J/C/D/I/W/S/Y/B/M/H/K/U/L/Q/E/V

Regional and international flights: F/P/J/C/D/I/W/S/Y/B/M/H/K/U/L/Q/E/V/T/N

3. code-sharing flights are not applicable.

18.Can I upgrade from economy class to first class directly when taking a China Southern Airlines flight?

You may redeem the upgrade with your mileage. However, continuous award upgrades with mileage redemption is not allowed, namely, you cannot upgrade from economy class to business class and then to first class with mileage redemption in succession.

19.After launch of new miles validity rules, what's the difference about the calculation of validity?

You may go to China Southern Airlines Sky Pearl’s website and check the period of validity for your mileage at "Members > My Mileage Management”.

If you mileage is not used within the period of validity, you may register to participate in the “China Southern Airlines Mileage Extension Program” before the expiry to extend the period of validity: http://skypearl.csair.com/cn/newsletter/2012/1019_1.html

 

20.Can I redeem award ticket online?
Yes, you can log in skypearl.csair.com to redeem award ticket.
21.How can I redeem award tickets for others online?
The identity authentication is required when you redeems another member’s Sky Pearl mileage for an award ticket. You can choose online authentication, log on our official website and provide your bank card information to complete identity authentication. Or you can go to a CSAir-specified ticket office for identity authentication. When you apply for identity authentication for yourself, you need to take the originals and copies of your valid ID card and Sky Pearl membership card, and provide your domestic phone number as the registered phone number. If you entrust another person to open the online mileage transfer function for you, the original and a copy of that person’s ID card are also required in addition to the above documents.
