1.What is Self Service Check-in?

CSAir Self Service Check-in is a convenient way of going through the relevant procedures by passenger themselves. The self-service check-in is a new way of check-in which is distinguished from the traditional check-in counters. There is no need for the passengers who use the self-service equipment to wait for print boarding passes and to allocate seats by airport clerks. Instead, passengers can access all their flight data with the specific check-in certificate at the self-service equipment, and select their seats, validate related check-in information and finally get their boarding passes according to screen prompts.

3.Who can use the self-service equipment?

Passengers with valid E-tickets of domestic flights can check in via the self-service equipment. 

4.Is the self-service equipment available for paper tickets?

Paper tickets are not available to the self-service equipment now. If you hold a paper ticket, please go through your check-in procedure at our service counter. 

5.Is a kiosk available for children with or without adult accompanying?

Sorry, children and infants cannot use the self-service equipment. Please go through their check-in procedures at our service counter. 

6.Can I use the self-service equipment for my international ticket?

Sorry, the self-service equipment is not available for international tickets now. 

7.Can I use the self-service equipment for the ticket brought from a travel agency or a ticketing website?

Yes, you can. All the valid E-tickets of CSAir are available to the self-service equipment no matter where you buy. 

8.Under what situations should I go to service counter during self-service check-in?

Under some special situations, you need to present your relevant documents at the service counter such as inconsistent name in your certificate and ticket, and ask for help from an airport clerk. 

9.What is the last minute for me to do self-service check-in with the self-service equipment?

Like the check-in at counters, at some airports, you should complete your check-in not later than 30 minutes before the departure, and at other airports, you should finish it not later than 45 minutes before the departure. So, you should pay attention to relevant information beforehand. 

10.How do the kiosks identify my booking information?
There are three ways to identify your booking information via the kiosks: First, put your second generation ID card at the clock in/out to identify; second, input your ticket number, ID card number or Sky Pearl number on the touch screen; third, scan your cellphone’s two-dimension code.
11.Can I change my seat via the self-service equipment?

No, please change your seat at an airport service counter. 

12.Can I change to a flight to earlier or later departure time via the self-service equipment?

No, please change your seat at an airport service counter. 

13.Can the self-service equipment be used to handle the class upgrade procedures?

Sorry, the upgrade service is not available at the self-service equipment presently. Please go to the service counter. 

14.Can I buy tickets through the self-service equipment?

No. The self-service equipment is the equipment for passengers’ self-service check-in at airport. It is provided by China Southern Airlines without ticketing function presently. 

15.Which languages does the self-service equipment provide?
Chinese and English.
