As Preveza is located on the mainland, it’s slightly cheaper to visit than the neighbouring Greek islands. Located on the Ambracian Gulf, it’s considered the gateway to the island of Lefkada.
One you arrive at Aktion Airport (PVK), you’re only 6.7km from Preveza – a journey of only 15 minutes by car to the town centre. Lefkada is 20km away and takes around 25 minutes. Direct bus services are also available, taking you to Preveza, Lefkada and other destinations. Outside the airport terminal, a 24/7 taxi service is available. If you want to explore on your own time, simply hire a car with British Airways and collect Avios on every rental.
