Also known as the ‘Daughter of the Baltic’, Helsinki is the charming capital of Finland. It’s less than a three-hour flight from Heathrow (LHR) to Helsinki Airport (HEL), so you will be enjoying the stunning architecture of the city in no time.
A beautiful place at any time of the year, its seasons are dramatic – from busy summer days lazing by the beach to bitterly cold winter months when warm and cosy cafés become a welcome respite. Helsinki has distinctive small town feel, even though it is the capital, and this can be felt in the welcoming nature of the locals. Enjoy a leisurely meal or drink at the harbour in the heart of the city with new friends, after a day of meandering the streets in awe of the delightful Art Nouveau buildings and sculptures. A holiday in Helsinki offers a cosmopolitan and multicultural break where east meets west.
