We fly to Ljubljana, Slovenia, twice a week from London Heathrow (LHR) in summer. Our flights depart on Monday and Fridays arriving into Ljubljana Airport (LJU), approximately two hours later.

Slovenia visa requirements

Ljubljana is in Slovenia, which is part of the European Union (EU). Travellers with an EU passport do not need a visa to enter the county. If you’re travelling from outside the EU, you may need to apply for a visa in advance of your trip. Check with the IATA travel centre, or your government website, for more information.

Baggage essentials

Economy class passengers can choose to fly with hand baggage only or pick a price that includes a 23kg checked baggage allowance and free seat selection 48 hours before you fly. Business class passengers can check in two 32kg bags. All passengers travelling with children can check in one fully-collapsible pushchair and one car seat.

Lounges

Travel classes

Wellbeing in the air

Keep hydrated on your flight by drinking plenty of water and eat light meals. Bear in mind that alcohol, caffeine and sugar may dehydrate you. Look after your skin with moisturiser and use lip balm. You can also do some simple stretching exercises to promote a healthy circulation.

Getting to/from the airport

Ljubljana Airport (LJU) is just a 30-minute drive from the verdant city centre. The easiest way to make the journey south to the capital is by taxi or by adding a transfer with your hotel booking. The cheapest way to travel into the Ljubljana is by bus. These depart every hour and take about 50-minutes, with first departures at 05.00 hours and final departures at 20.00 hours. Be aware – public buses run less frequently at weekends and the timetable changes.
