Fly to Verona with British Airways and discover one of northern Italy’s most ancient, beautiful cities. With well-preserved monuments such as the Roman arena, the Romanesque basilica of San Zeno Maggiore and the Renaissance Juliet’s House, modestly-sized Verona is also one of Italy’s most relaxing city break destinations.
As well as history, it offers easy-going pleasures such as antique shopping in the narrow streets around Corso Santa Anastasia and people watching in the busy café terraces of central Piazza delle Erbe. Flights to Verona likewise connect you to the city’s beautiful wider region. Just beyond the city are the vineyards of Valpolicella and sub-alpine Lake Garda, Italy’s largest lake, and further to the north lies the dramatic Dolomite mountain range.
