The average flight time from London to Barcelona is 2 hours, to Madrid 2 hours and 25 minutes, to Ibiza 2 hours and 20 minutes and to the Canary Islands 4 hours. British Airways flies to Spain from all major airports in London.
Your flight time to Spain depends on where you’re flying from and which airport you’re landing in. A journey from New York to Spain will take around seven hours, while Los Angeles to Spain takes just over 13 hours with a connection.

The cheapest month to fly to Spain is in generally in the low season from November to February.
A country with an eclectic mix of bustling cities, small villages and coastal towns, Spain is a very affordable destination, it just depends on where you visit. Barcelona and Madrid are both popular tourist destinations but smaller cities like Valencia and Seville are more affordable on a budget.
The best time to visit Spain is from March to September, keeping in mind that peak high season is June to August. For fewer tourists and milder temperatures, try April/May or September/October. From November to February, the weather turns colder and slightly rainy on the coast. Many beach hotels are closed during this time but ski season is in full swing if you visit Baqueira-Beret in the Pyrenees, with snowy peaks towering above 3000 metres.
Spain is a very well-connected country and major cities like Barcelona and Madrid have metro systems that are easy to use. You can also rent a car to get around as part of a holiday package with British Airways.

If you hold a passport from a country or territory outside of these areas, you may need to apply for a visa before you travel.
