Flights to Morocco

Busy cities alive with noise, movement and colour. A dramatic mountain range and sweeping desert. Historic remote villages, still populated by the country’s indigenous peoples. Welcome to Morocco. It’s home to some of North Africa’s most famous cities, with one cemented in time by Humphrey Bogart and another known for its iconic central square and surrounding marketplace. Plus, with a significant chunk of its land covered by both the Sahara Desert and the Atlas Mountains, it’s a hub for outdoor activities.

A feast for the senses

Fly to Morocco with British Airways and dive straight into the action by exploring Marrakech’s souks.

This marketplace is a labyrinth broken into sections named for their distinct identities, from leather and jewellery to musical instruments and lanterns. As you explore, enjoy the smell of spices and incense, and listen to calls to prayer and locals chattering with friends. Step away from the souks and enjoy a hot air balloon ride to see the city from above, along with unforgettable desert views.

For something a bit different, visit Agadir. This laid-back neighbourhood, bordered by a stretch of golden sand, is known for surfing, golf courses and relaxation. Dig into one of Morocco’s famous aromatic dishes at dinner, including fragrant tagine and couscous. Book your holiday to Morocco today.

Morocco flight FAQs

You can reach Marrakech in around three hours and 30 minutes on a flight from London.

We fly to Morocco from London Gatwick and London Heathrow.

The cheapest months to fly to Morocco are during the winter, but that doesn’t mean you’ll miss out on the sights. The temperature usually sits comfortably in the low teens at this time of year, so while it might be a bit chilly for a beach day, the weather is perfect for exploring the cities and souks. Use our low fare finder to discover the cheapest time to visit Morocco.

Morocco experiences very hot summers, so if you’re a fan of the heat, this is the best time for you to visit. The inner cities swelter under the sun, so coastal escapes to areas like Agadir are a good option for a sea breeze and taking dips in the surf. Choose to visit during the spring or autumn and you’ll enjoy milder temperatures, so hop on a flight at this time if you’re planning on major sightseeing.

You can adapt your trip to fit your budget – from affordable accommodation options to high-end luxury hotels, and street food stalls to fine dining. You can also pick up souvenirs for less at the souks with a bit of clever haggling.

Morocco’s cities come equipped with taxis and buses to get you around, and you can take trains across country if you want to explore beyond the boundaries of your first destination. Another option is to rent a car, which gives you the freedom to travel on your own time.

There’s a little something for everyone in Morocco. Enjoy a slice of authentic Moroccan culture by sipping mint tea in a riad, visiting traditional Berber villages and enjoying treatments in a hammam. Head out into the mountains for hiking, the desert for sandboarding or to the coast for surfing. On top of all of that, you can admire the beauty of the Jardin Majorelle gardens, plus find one-of-a-kind treasures in the souks and visit historic mosques in every major city.

You can book a hand baggage-only ticket or make the most of our generous baggage allowance. If you choose economy standard or one of our British Airways Holidays’ packages, each passenger can check in a bag weighing up to 23kg – in addition to a handbag, laptop case or other small bag. Families travelling in any cabin with younger children can also check in one car seat and one fully collapsible pushchair. Read more about baggage allowances for children.

If you’re flying in our business cabin, you can check in two bags weighing up to 32kg each. Read our baggage guide for full details.

If you travel to Morocco with a valid British passport and stay for less than 90 days, a visa is not required. For more visa information, visit the IATA Travel Centre.

With outstanding service starting the minute you book, you can choose to fly with hand baggage only or pick a price including a 23kg checked baggage allowance and free seat selection 24 hours before you fly. On board our planes, you’ll find HEPA-filtered air, quality catering and a warm, uniquely British welcome.

Sit back, relax and let us take care of you every step of the way.
