Arriving in Helsinki

Once you've touched down in Helsinki, the best way to get to the city centre is by taxi as Helsinki airport lies 20km north of the city. You can get either a private hire taxi, which costs around €40-50, or you can get a fixed priced taxi, which is shared with others but is cheaper. Buses also run regularly to the heart of the city, the Finnair Bus is just €6.20 and takes around 20-30 minutes, or try the number 615 to the central train station. You could also hire a car to explore Helsinki in your own time.
