The charming city of Wroclaw sits along the Oder River in south west Poland, comprised of 12 islands connected by copious bridges and several leafy parks. The magnificent market square lies in the city centre, lined with elegant townhouses and gothic buildings, and there are plenty of surrounding cafes and restaurants serving beer and bites to eat.

Wroclaw Airport (WRO) lies seven miles west of Wroclaw’s centre. Taxis are available outside the airport arrivals building, offering direct transportation to the city centre within 20 minutes, depending on traffic. You can also take the number 106 bus into the city centre, although this journey usually takes around 40 minutes.
