Flights to Agadir

Flights from London Gatwick to Agadir Al-Massira Airport take just under four hours.

The cheapest months to fly from London to Agadir are usually November to February when the temperatures are slightly cooler.

Agadir is a great value destination with hotels, restaurants, bars and activities to suit every budget – especially around the northern downtown area that’s popular with visitors.

Around the marina you may find that prices for dining, drinking and shopping are slightly higher. If you want to eat out on a budget, seek out locally owned restaurants for authentic Moroccan food that won’t break the bank. Alternatively, the local markets are perfect for stocking up on local delicacies before retreating to the shade of one of the town’s beautiful gardens, like Jardin d’Olhao.

A taxi from the airport to the centre of Agadir takes around 25 minutes.

Once you’re there, you can easily navigate the town on foot or by hailing one of the many taxis available. There are also several bus routes that serve the local neighbourhoods, Souk El Had and the local beaches. Just remember to have cash on hand for the bus fare.

Perfect for a beach break at any time of the year, Agadir is a popular resort town that offers almost guaranteed sunshine thanks to its hot, dry climate.

Although many of the town’s historic attractions were damaged in the earthquake of 1960, much of Agadir’s original charm remains. For an authentic experience, visit the lively Souk El Had, Morocco's largest market. It’s a treasure trove where you can pick up spices, pottery, rugs and anything else you can think of – just be prepared to haggle.

For a taste of the region’s history, head out of town to Agadir’s Kasbah. Built in 1541, the outer walls remain and although you can’t enter, you’re perfectly positioned to pause and take in the far-reaching views over the marina and beyond.
