Terms and conditions

  1. The following terms and conditions (the “Campaign Terms”) shall exclusively apply to the British Airways American Express® Companion Voucher with British Airways Holidays Campaign 2026 (the “Offer”) for the duration of the Promotion Period, unless otherwise specified in the Campaign marketing.
  2. These Terms set out the key terms of the Offer. Please make sure you read these together with the usual Companion Voucher Terms and Conditions, which contain important additional terms, including information on Companion Voucher terms, validity and benefits. 
  3. Cardholders may use their  Companion Voucher for a 25% discount on the Avios used to pay for eligible British Airways Holidays packages* (Flight + Hotel or Flight + Car), up to a maximum number of Avios (see Clauses 7&8) when making a non-redemption booking on ba.com, or via a British Airways Contact Centre, for travel on British Airways operated flights and British Airways codeshares with selected partners**. This Offer is available to all British Airways American Express® cardmembers from 20 May 2026 [time stamp] to 31 March 2027 [time stamp] (“Promotion Period”). 
  4. The Companion Voucher must be valid at the point of booking. If the Companion Voucher expires after booking but before processing, the booking remains eligible provided it was valid at the time of booking. 
  5. The Companion Voucher will be deducted from the Member’s British Airways Club account within two business days of a valid claim being processed. The Avios (equivalent to 25% of the Avios used for full or part payment) will be credited to the Member’s account within two business days. 
  6. If there are multiple Companion Vouchers on the Member’s British Airways Club account, the Companion Voucher that the cardholder nominated in the claims form will be applied. 
  7. Those with a British Airways American Express® Credit Card Companion Voucher are able to redeem one Companion Voucher per booking, and receive up to a maximum of 50,000 Avios. 
  8. Those with a British Airways American Express® Premium Plus Card Companion Voucher are able to redeem one Companion Voucher per booking, and receive up to a maximum of 200,000 Avios. 
  9. Bookings made with this payment option will be subject to the standard Booking Conditions associated with the holiday purchased.
  10. The Offer can only be applied where the full holiday booking is eligible for Avios part or full payment. For more information on Avios as payment for holiday with British Airways Holidays, visit the British Airways Club Conditions of Use.
  11. When Avios have been used as full or part payment, the Avios will be refundable only where the holiday is refundable. Partial refunds of holiday payment will be credited to your Avios account up to the value of the original full or part payment, with any remainder credited to your original method of payment. If you use your Companion Voucher before the claim form has been processed and the voucher debited, you will not receive any Avios returned to your account. 
  12. Once you have made your British Airways Holidays booking, the claim form available at [link] must be completed within 72 hours of booking to receive the Avios equivalent to 25% of the Avios used for payment. Following the submission of a valid claim form, we aim to apply the Avios to the cardholder’s BAC account within two working days.
  13. If your account has not been credited with the 25% Avios from your booking within 2 working days, you can contact us at 0344 493 0750. This number can also be found on the back of British Airways American Express® Cards; ‘For Avios enquiries.’  
  14. If you cancel your holiday, the refund you receive will depend on the type of booking you made:
    • Fully refundable bookings: You will receive a refund of any Avios, cash, and any British Airways American Express® Companion Voucher used, with the original expiry date. 
    • Partially refundable bookings: You will receive a refund of the applicable part cash and Avios portion only. Your British Airways American Express® Companion Voucher used will not be returned.
    • Non‑refundable bookings: No cash, Avios, or British Airways American Express® Companion Voucher will be refunded.

If a booking is cancelled after the 25% Avios has been applied, the cardholder will receive a refund of 75% of the Avios used in the initial transaction. British Airways reserve the right to refund the Avios redeemed, minus any Avios the cardholder received as part of the CV promotion. Applicable refunds of Avios, cash, or any British Airways American Express® Companion Vouchers will be completed within 5 working days.

*Eligible holidays are British Airways Holidays packages (Flight + Hotel or Flight + Car) booked through ba.com (or via a British Airways Contact Centre) in markets where British Airways Holidays operates. 

** Selected partners include Aer Lingus, Iberia, Vueling, American Airlines, Qatar, and Finnair.
