What documents should I send?

Send us a copy of one of the following documents showing your name as you wish it to appear on your British Airways Club account:

  • birth or adoption certificate
  • marriage certificate
  • passport
  • driving licence
  • Decree Nisi or Decree Absolute (divorce certificate)

To avoid problems when travelling or collecting Avios and tier points, the name on your British Airways Club account should match the name on your passport.

Send us a copy of one of the following documents showing your acquired gender and new name:

  • new passport
  • new birth or adoption certificate
  • Gender Recognition Certificate (UK) or your country’s equivalent

To avoid problems when travelling or collecting Avios and tier points, the name on your British Airways Club account should match the name on your passport.

Send us a copy of one of the following documents showing your correct date of birth:

  • birth or adoption certificate
  • passport
  • driving licence

If you have started a claim for missing Avios or tier points, you should have been advised by a British Airways contact centre agent what documentation to send. If you’re not sure, please contact your local British Airways service centre.

If you have been given a claim reference number, please include this in the comments field.
