If you are due to travel before 30 September 2022

If your journey is due to be completed by 30 September 2022, you can change your dates, destination or even cancel if you need to, although a fare difference may still apply. For bookings made before 7 June 2022, the change booking fee will still be waived.

If you’re due to travel from 1 October 2022 onwards, our standard delays, cancellation and refund options are applicable.

Want to change your flight booking?

If your journey is due to be completed (departure and return) by 30 September 2022 and you would like to change your booking, you can choose from one of the following options.

If you want to change the dates of your flight booking

You can change the dates of your flight, although you will need to pay any difference in fare and a change booking fee. This is applicable to:

  • journeys due to be completed (departure and return) by 30 September 2022*
  • booked on any British Airways marketed routes, excluding franchise airline Sun-Air routes
  • booked direct via our contact centres, ba.com or trade outlets

*If you booked before 7 June 2022 for travel to be completed (departure and return) by 30 September 2022, the first change booking fee will be waived. Any subsequent changes will be subject to the standard fare rules of your new journey.

If you made an Avios Reward Flight Saver, Reward Flight, Companion or Gold Upgrade Voucher booking before 7 June 2022, your travel is completed (departure and return) by 30 September 2022 and you haven't made any changes from 8 June 2022 onwards, you can cancel without a fee. Any bookings with a change made after 8 June 2022 will be subject to the standard fare rules of the new journey.

If you want to change the destination and the dates of your flight booking

If your journey is due to be completed (departure and return) by 30 September 2022, please complete the form below in exchange for a voucher to the value of your trip so you can rebook when you’re ready.

Once we’ve received your form we will process the cancellation on your behalf and email you a voucher which can be used as payment, or part payment, for a future booking. Your new trip booked using a voucher must be fully completed by 30 September 2023 (departure and return).

If you made an Avios Reward Flight Saver, Reward Flight, Companion or Gold Upgrade Voucher booking before 7 June 2022, your travel is completed (departure and return) by 30 September 2022 and you haven't made any changes from 8 June 2022 onwards, you can cancel without a fee and your Companion or Gold Upgrade Voucher will revert back to the original expiry date. Vouchers can be used as payment, or part payment, for a future booking. Your new trip booked with your voucher must be fully completed by 30 September 2023 (departure and return). You will receive your voucher by email.
