Urlaub auf Mauritius
Get lost in the natural beauty of Mauritius, which ranges from forested mountains to manicured beaches. Immerse yourself in the island’s splendid scenery, whether you prefer to relax or adventure.
Travel to Mauritius is convenient with three direct flights from London to Mauritius each week – and five direct weekly flights from November to March. You will also enjoy great value savings on our package holidays when you book flights and hotels together.
You will want to spend lots of time on – or in – the water during your Mauritius holidays. Plunge into the teal ocean to snorkel or scuba dive among brilliant coral reefs and marine wildlife, or book an island cruise to glide by the sheltered lagoons of the east coast. Other water sports include stand up paddle boarding, wakeboarding, flyboarding and kayaking.
On land, you can hike to the prominent basalt peak of Le Morne Brabant, or lounge on one of Mauritius’ many white sand beaches. To see more of the scenic island, hire a car in partnership with Avis and drink in idyllic views of tea fields and waterfalls. Like Brits, Mauritians also drive on the left, and the island is very navigable, even sharing the same road signs as the UK. Trek alongside the Galets River, search for curious indigenous pink pigeons or soar over verdant landscapes on a zipline.
The capital of Mauritius, Port Louis, offers a dash of culture. Follow the locals to the popular Central Market. For Mauritian glass souvenirs and other artwork, visit the Craft Market. If you seek shade, take refuge in the shade of banyan trees at Jardins de la Compagnie.
