Dubrovnik flight FAQs

A flight from London to Dubrovnik takes approximately two hours and 30 minutes.

July and August are the most popular months to visit Dubrovnik and you’ll usually find the best deals on flights outside of the peak season.

May to June and September to October are great times to visit, when the weather is perfect for visiting the nearby national parks and it’ll still be warm enough to soak up the sun on the beaches. You also be able to seek out some great-value accommodation if you travel during the quieter months.

There are lots of ways to enjoy a budget-friendly trip to Dubrovnik. Save on eating out by choosing self-catering accommodation and packing picnics for day trips. It’ll give you the opportunity to shop for fresh produce at Dubrovnik’s local open-air markets too. If you want to island-hop while you’re in Croatia, opt for local ferries rather than private boats to save on travel costs.

Once you land in Dubrovnik you can take a taxi or shuttle bus to the city centre.

The harbour in Dubrovnik’s Old Town serves nearby Lokrum Island and the picturesque town of Cavtat, while ferries travelling to the larger islands leave from the main port in Gruz.

You can also hire a car with British Airways to see more of Dubrovnik and beyond. You’ll receive great benefits, with all mandatory charges included and 24-hour customer support, plus you’ll collect Avios points on every rental.

Dubrovnik is bursting at the seams with history and picture-book scenery. Rector’s Palace, Dubrovnik Cathedral and Lovrijenac Fort are some of the most iconic landmarks, while late-afternoon drinks are best enjoyed at one of the cliffside bars overlooking the Adriatic.

Dubrovnik is also the perfect starting point for an island-hopping adventure. Korcula, Hvar, Brac and the tranquil, car-free Elaphiti Islands are all just a boat trip away, with walking and cycling trails waiting to be discovered. Or head south and cross the border into rugged Montenegro with mountains, glacial lakes and canyons.
