Culture under city lights

Fly to Hong Kong with British Airways and get familiar with the city’s three regions, which are split into 18 unique districts.

The Central district is a good place to start. Try must-visit spots like Victoria Peak, a viewpoint offering panoramic views of the city, and Lan Kwai Fong, a collection of streets packed with restaurants and bars. It’s the place to go once the sun sets.

Before you head over for your fix of dim sum and dancing, catch Symphony of Lights, the light show that takes place in Victoria Harbour every evening.

For something a little more cultural, make your way to Lantau Island to visit the Wisdom Path and ride the Ngong Ping cable car up to the towering Tian Tan Buddha statue. Lantau Island is also home to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort if you’re travelling with thrill-seekers.

Whether you choose economy or business class flights, travel in comfort when you book your holiday to Hong Kong with us.

Hong Kong flight FAQs

A flight from London Heathrow to Hong Kong International Airport takes approximately 12 hours and 45 minutes.

Hong Kong is a year-round destination, but warm, humid weather during the summer can mean fewer tourists. So, if you’re a fan of the heat, this could be a good time to visit.

You can make your trip to Hong Kong affordable in lots of ways. There are accommodation options at a range of prices, including hostels and budget hotels, and the excellent public transport network means you don’t need to stay in the most expensive areas to see everything on your list. Head to the food markets or cha chaan tengs, low-cost diners offering local foods, to eat well without an expensive price tag. Museums are often free to enter on Wednesdays, and you can swap entry fees for nature by visiting the beaches and hiking trails.

The easiest way to get to central Hong Kong is by using the Airport Express, which takes about 25 minutes and departs regularly from the airport. Buses and taxis are also available.

You can also hire a car with British Airways if you want to see more of what Hong Kong has to offer. You’ll receive great benefits, with all mandatory charges included and 24-hour customer support, plus you’ll collect Avios points on every rental.

Hong Kong is one of the world’s most iconic cities, combining the hallmarks of 21st-century modernity with traditional heritage. You can spend your days visiting religious landmarks and street markets, and your evenings in luxury restaurants and busy nightclubs. For a break from the hustle and bustle, escape to one of Hong Kong’s country parks instead – Kam Shan is known for its beautiful views and large population of wild monkeys.

You can book a hand baggage-only ticket or make the most of our generous baggage allowance.
