Mykonos International Airport is just a 10-minute drive from Mykonos Town and taxis are readily available. The cheapest way to travel is by taking the airport bus. It's a short trip to the centre of town or you can venture to other popular destinations from the airport in under an hour.

There are millennia of history to discover in Mykonos. The Panagia Tourliani Monastery, which is known for its architecture and Byzantine icons is well worth a visit. On the northern tip of the island, Armenistis Lighthouse offers panoramic views of the Aegean Sea and nearby islands. Mykonos is also only a short boat ride from the island of Delos, the mythical birthplace of Apollo and Aphrodite, and an ancient Greek archaeological site with ruins of temples, statues and mosaics.

If you travel to Greece with a valid British passport and stay for less than 90 days, a visa is not required. If you’re from a country outside the EU, you may need to apply for a visa in advance of your trip.
