Arriving in Kota Kinabalu, you are 8km south west of the city centre. Book a transfer on to your hotel or take a taxi from the airport: the resort hotels that look out over the South China Sea are only around a half hour drive away. Arriving in Sandankan Airport (SDK) you’ll find the incredible Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and the Gomantong caves nearby.
