Hotel La Folie Douce - Chamonix

Brand new for the 2018-19 winter season, La Folie Douce offers a truly unique hotel experience in Chamonix. A self-proclaimed Ski Palace, located at the base of the Savoy lift, it is the only ski-in ski-out hotel in Chamonix. The atmosphere is mix of warm hospitality, world renowned apres entertainment and, if all that partying gets a little too much, first-class relaxation, thanks to the 640 square metre spa area. The hotel aims to offer something for everyone and is even home to its own kids club.

The 250 rooms at La Folie Douce offer outstanding views of the mountains and are split into 3 different categories. Standard Access rooms are simply furnished and come equipped with free WiFi, satellite TV and a safe. Premium rooms are designed to offer a little extra in terms of furnishings and amenities and include a hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and bathrobes and slippers. Finally, there is the option to stay in a dormitory, with a women-only option available.

Although primarily available to book on a room only or bed and breakfast basis, La Folice Douce is home to 5 onsite restaurants. La Petite Cuisine is a family style restaurant serving generous French-style dishes made from local produce. Le Mayen serves up hearty fondue and raclette with an innovative twist, whilst Le Frutiere is a modern bistronomic restaurant incorporating a wealth of Savoyard delicacies. Furthermore, La Piazza on the terrace serves up tasty Italian-style apres ski bites, whilst Le Kiosque is the ideal pit stop to grab and go.

La Folie Douce name is synonymous with apres ski - guests can experience the legendary high-tempo apres party each day, whilst the Bar Jannsen is a more relaxed option with its extensive cocktail and wine list.

The wellness area at La Folie Douce provides the perfect opportunity to take a break from the party if a little relaxation is on the cards. The spa area includes 8 massage rooms, a outdoor heated pool with year-round terrace, 2 saunas and a steam room. Plus there is a fitness room and yoga lessons on offer to pay back the mind and body.
