Opened in 1989, this alpine style, majestic and award-winning hotel is nestled in the forested landscape of British Columbia’s Coast Mountain range. Situated next to the base of Blackcomb Mountain, this hotel offers a scenic setting, come shine or snow. During winter, enjoy easy access to the gondola from this ski-in ski-out hotel. Once on the top of Blackcomb, you can ride the Peak 2 Peak Gondola, to Whistler Mountain. Then, return to the Ski Valet Chalet for fireside cocoa. In summer, the glistening Lost Lake is less than a mile away and the beautiful Green Lake is about four miles away. There’s a free, year-round shuttle to Whistler Village, where there is a variety of shops, bars and restaurants – alternatively it’s just a 15-minute walk away in the warmer months. The hotel is around 84 miles, a two-hour drive or transfer from Vancouver International Airport.
The Fairmont Chateau Whistler offers over 519 rooms, with an extravagant choice of 11 different room types, ranging from around 37 m2 to 96 m2. All rooms feature views across either the mountains or the valley.
