What are the best things to do in Florida?
You’ve pencilled in your holiday, and you’re keen to hit all the Florida attractions. We recommend:
Don a headband with Mickey Mouse ears and get ready to mingle with a gaggle of loveable movie characters. You can also catch them during a variety of stage shows when you take a break in between rides.
Did you know that Universal Studios Florida remains a working film and TV studio? It’s true. The larger resort just happens to have a host of rides and performances, too. Plus, it’s the place for Harry Potter superfans.
You weren’t planning on extra-terrestrial travels during your Florida holiday near Disney. However, you can explore all things ‘outer space’ at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral. It’s about an hour from Orlando – and it serves as NASA’s main launch site.
Everglades National Park
Temporarily trade Florida’s theme parks and beaches for a quiet day in the Everglades. The expansive natural area is the prettiest place in Florida, home to wading birds, as well as the mammoth reptiles (crocs and gators) that make it famous.
You’ll experience laid-back ‘island time’ as you traipse south along The Florida Keys. The journey ends at Key West, but the entire trip is picturesque. It makes for an ideal, lackadaisical tail-end of a holiday in paradise.
Can I book Florida holidays with park tickets?
Yes, you can add theme park tickets to your Florida holidays. The tickets we sell are only available pre-departure, they are not available at any of the park's entrance – so buy before you fly. We sell Disney Magic Tickets with Genie+ too, and Universal Orlando Explorer Tickets. If you stay at a Disney or Universal hotel you'll also enjoy theme park benefits.
