Eloping to Las Vegas

Fast, friendly and welcoming, Las Vegas is a favourite for elopers the world over.

If you're planning to elope somewhere sunny, book flights to Las Vegas. The vibrant desert city is ideal whether you're bringing a wedding party or celebrating privately.

Las Vegas for Elopers

It's quite easy to get married in Vegas. There is little, apart from good sense, to prevent you from marrying to a total stranger. And given those free drinks handed out to anyone playing the slots, you might not even have much of that. If you want to join the more than 100,000 couples who have walked down the aisle before you, here's a traditional 24-hour tour of Vegas-style wedding action.

Gals, check out the hunky action at this Aussie male strip revue, featuring some of the cheekiest, in all ways, performers you can imagine. Hilarious as well as handsome, they know how to work a room.

Gambling with the Pussycat Dolls

2

An understanding bride-to-be might feel comfortable sending her intended off to gamble at the Pussycat Dolls Pit at Caesars Palace. The dealers are dressed like Americas current favourite burlesque actturnedband, and go-go dancers suspended in cages above try to make you forget if you should hit or hold at 17.

As soon as you can drag yourself out of bed in the morning, head to this lush spa at Caesars Palace. Get a special treatment or just sit in the blissful Roman bath area, moving from ice room (where you can exfoliate with shaved ice), to sauna, to plunge pools of varying temperatures, before finally collapsing in a heated lounge chair.

Clark County Marriage License Bureau

Get your license here. It's no longer open round-the-clock, which is probably just as well, but the entire process should take no more than an hourand possibly as little as 10 minutes. Once you have that important piece of paper, you're good to gothere's no set waiting period.

Little White Wedding Chapel

Hotel chapels tend to be prettier and more traditional, but if you came to Vegas for the kitsch, your search will be best fulfilled by this famous wedding factory. It was good enough for Michael Jordan, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, and Brittany. Plus, for those particularly in a hurry, it has a drive-up window.

Dinner at Alizé

7

Hold your wedding feast at the city's most romantic restaurant, with nearly floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, and a virtually unobstructed view of the city and desert. Though surely you won't take your eyes off each other.

Away in a different world

BA Staff Insight - Jon Downes.

If you have the time, I would recommend taking an early morning helicopter trip to the Grand Canyon. Land at the base and enjoy a champagne breakfast, before the heat of the day sets in.
