The hotel’s crescent-shaped beach is lined with sun loungers and umbrellas. After sunbathing, you can cool off in the turquoise waters or head to the jetty to try a range of water sports – including kayaking, paddleboarding and kneeboarding. On the edge of the beach, there are several swimming pools which overlook the beach and Arabian Gulf. This includes a whirlpool and a separate pool for children.

Elsewhere on the property, make use of the outdoor tennis court or head to the health club. The gym here is outfitted with Technogym equipment, and there are fitness studios, steam rooms and a sauna. For a supplement, you can also participate in a fitness class – whether it’s yoga, Pilates, aqua aerobics or power balance. The spa is the ideal place to unwind after working out; choose from a range of Clarins signature face and body treatments, or specially tailored spa packages. You will find a separate male and female area, while the general facilities include hammams, relaxation lounges, a Clarins boutique and Vitamine Café.

The Kempinski Playroom is an inviting and colourful space for younger guests. They offer a supervised kids’ club for children between the ages of 4 and 12 years. Kids can spend time here, playing with toys or participating in games and craft activities.

There are six restaurants at the hotel, offering flavours from all over the world. Sawa is the hotel’s main buffet-style restaurant, serving popular international fare for breakfast, brunch and dinner. At Al Sufra, you can sample traditional Middle Eastern and Levantine recipes for lunch or dinner. It has a coffee lounge, open terrace and a la carte dining, and you can visit throughout the day.

Amwage offers casual, al fresco dining beside the beach – and specialises in grilled seafood and barbeque dishes – while El Faro is a contemporary, Spanish-themed restaurant that is known for its authentic tapas and original paella dishes. Take in the vibrant atmosphere of Toro Toro, where the menu showcases traditional Brazilian and Peruvian dishes, or head to Nozomi to savour Japanese cuisine. Their comprehensive menu features a selection of sushi and vegetarian options, as well as tempting Wagyu beef, Kobe beef and black cod dishes.

The Bohemia lounge provides a relaxed setting, overlooking the hotel’s lush gardens and pools. Choose from a wide selection of drinks and snacks, including frozen smoothies and cakes. Alternatively, spend time at Café Murano to enjoy a variety of teas and handmade cakes or pastries. In the evenings, soak up the sophistication of the N’awlins Jazz House for classic cocktails and cigars, accompanied by live jazz music.
