Offering a peaceful location in the Cretan countryside, the Village Heights Resort - Crete's Mindful Retreat, provides elegant, well-equipped accommodation, a pampering spa and reduced green fees at the nearby Crete Golf Club.
Located on Greece’s largest island, this hotel is set among gardens of aromatic herbs and olive trees. Village Heights Resort is in a quiet location in Hersonissos, yet less than a 10-minute drive from the town centre, where you can find beaches, shops and restaurants aplenty – the hotel provides a daily shuttle to and from here. A 30-minute drive takes you to the capital city of Heraklion, and its airport.
Accommodation here is comprised of Junior Suites, one- and two-bedroom suites, sleeping between two and six guests. Each suite has a kitchen equipped with a cooker, microwave, fridge, kettle, dishwasher, toaster, coffee machine and utensils, so you can cater your stay to your requirements. Rooms are decorated in warm colours with cooling tiled floors and offer views of the landscape or sea from a furnished balcony or terrace.

The resort has two outdoor pools nestled among the gardens, with the Citrus Pool Bar located close by for poolside refreshments. Enjoy free access to a beach club in Stalis, with shuttle services running to and from the hotel.

Return here for an a la carte lunch and a buffet dinner. For a special evening meal, visit Elia, offering Greek and Cretan dishes with a contemporary twist. Dine on the beautiful veranda, offering spectacular views to the sea and mountains. Alternatively, Rodies restaurant serves up traditional Cretan fare, including a Cretan breakfast, in an authentic Greek setting. From the open air kitchen, dishes are full of fragrant wild herbs and honest high-quality meat, whipped up by chef Michalis Markakis.
Located next to the front desk is The Lobby Bar, providing relaxed light bites and local wines. The Citrus Pool Bar offers a menu of sandwiches and summery salads with coffees, refreshments and cocktails throughout the day. In addition, farm-to-table private dining experiences are taken at Mitato. Be sure to visit the traditional Kafenio, built around a tiny square, with stone-brick walls, wooden chairs and a rustic environment that takes you back in time. Pass the time playing backgammon while enjoying a Greek coffee.
