Living up to its name, which means ‘beautiful sea’, the area of Belle Mare showcases warm turquoise water, white sands and protected coral reefs. It’s about six miles from Centre de Flacq, a busy town with lots of open-air markets and a shopping centre. Two golf courses– The Links and Legend Golf Course – are within two miles of Solana Beach Mauritius. Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Airport is around 38 miles away.

Accommodation is set in a collection of three-storey buildings, each facing the ocean. Attractive rooms are bright, decorated in light colours with bursts of fuchsia, burnt orange or mustard, and some feature four-poster beds. Rooms also have a blackboard – ideal for writing the day’s relaxation itinerary. Meals taken at the hotel's Secrets Corner restaurant are not included within the half-board or all-inclusive packages and will incur additional charges.
