Longueville Manor is Jersey’s most highly acclaimed hotel, which has been designated as the island’s singular AA 5 Red Star property and as a member of the exclusive Relais & Châteaux luxury hotel collection. The stunningly refurbished Jersey manor house, with a selection of 30 beautifully appointed bedrooms and suites, makes for one of Europe's most celebrated getaway destinations. The boutique property also provides exquisite, yet understated, personal service.
Throughout your stay, you can indulge in fine food and wine, served in the 15th-century Oak Room with historic wood panelling, as you pore over the wine list with more than 550 entries. Bespoke wine tastings are available in the state-of-the-art wine cellar, which holds more than 4,000 bottles. For casual fare, you can order small plates in the bar and lounges. Executive Head Chef Andrew Baird creates cuisine with the finest local ingredients, including local dairy products and freshly caught seafood. Hotel menus also include seasonal produce: specialty salad leaves, herbs and fruits, grown in the on-site Victorian kitchen garden. Longueville Manor even produces its own honey, thanks to 24 beehives located on the hotel grounds.
During summer months, you can cool off in the outdoor heated swimming pool or read a book on the terrace’s sun loungers. Tables beneath large, white umbrellas are also available for dining or playing card games, balls are available from reception for your use at the tennis court. The mini gym next to The Cottage Garden offers machines as well as weights and floor mats, along with mineral water, towels and headphones.
If you prefer to be pampered, stop by The Cottage Garden spa instead. Set in a walled and secluded garden, the spa operates two treatments rooms. Here, the wellness specialists can recommend you a REN Skincare facial or body treatment. To prolong your serene experience, pop into the hot tub afterwards.
When you want to explore the island, take to the woodland trails where you may spy red squirrels, woodpeckers and barn owls. Further afoot, the country lanes will guide you through some of Jersey’s most picturesque scenery. To discover the other Channel Islands, book a private yacht charter through the hotel – and keep your eyes peeled for dolphins.
