Located in the cool and eclectic Atocha neighbourhood of Madrid, the hotel is opposite Reina Sofia Museum in the corner of the Golden Triangle of Art, where you’ll also find the Museo del Prado and Thyssen-Bornemisza Museo Nacional. El Retiro Park, the former playground for the Spanish monarchy, the Puerta de Alcala arch and The Royal Palace of Madrid are all within a mile and a half of the hotel. Adolfo Suarez Madrid–Barajas Airport is 11 miles to the northeast.

Rooms and suites feature the fun and stylish look that Hard Rock Hotels are known for. Classic, Superior and Deluxe rooms have royal blue headboards, contrasting with latte and gold tones throughout the rest of the room. Suites swap the royal blue headboards for striking red but incorporate a blue rug and a blue chair in the separate seating area. Music-themed cushions and artwork feature in all – you'll even see illuminated artworks reminiscent of camera flashes at a concert and bathrooms are semi open-plan.
