Home to warm, clear waters, the dazzling lagoon is the ideal spot for water sports enthusiasts. You can take up complimentary non-motorised water sports – including hydro bike, kayaking, canoeing or sailing – or embrace an exhilarating afternoon of jet skiing. Stoll along to the Sun Diving School at the end of the jetty, where trained and experienced divers offer unforgettable dive experiences for a supplementary charge. Alternatively, you can book a private boat excursion around the picturesque atoll for an additional fee.

On land, play tennis and badminton on dedicated courts, enjoy a game of ping-pong or darts or work out at the modern fitness centre with private instructors (private fitness sessions are available for an additional charge). There’s also a colourful playground for kids, access to Maakana Kids' Club – for children aged three to 11 years – and a full evening entertainment programme which caters for all ages. Even little ones can lounge in style at the kids' pool, lined with mini-sunbeds and parasols.

When there's a choice of six sparkling pools, two of which offer oceanfront oases, you'll find relaxation whatever your mood. You can also retire to The Spa for an extensive array of specialist therapies and massages or the overwater Ocean Spa. All eight treatment pavilions here offer a calming atmosphere, complete with twin massage beds, a rain shower and an outdoor flower bath. You can also use the hydrotherapy pools above the ocean or sip a refreshing juice in the relaxation area.

The resort boasts a wealth of dining and drinking options with eight restaurants and five bars. Highlights include the all-day Sunset Restaurant for Main Island guests, where the main terrace is built above the water. Boasting live cooking stations and expansive buffet spreads, you can relish local delights or your favourite international dishes here. You can also enjoy buffet-style dining at Malaafaiy for Dream Island guests, where fabulous ocean vistas accompany every meal.

During the day, stop by the poolside’s Island Pizza for deli-style sandwiches, pizzas and burgers. The menu also includes fresh local seafood and light dishes inspired by Asian and Mediterranean flavours. As the sun begins to set, head to the beachfront for a romantic Indian-inspired meal at Namaste, where intimate dining cabanas are set close to the water or grab a seat at Milano for authentic Italian delights. You can also enjoy fine dining above the ocean at Siyam Orchid, where chefs have perfected the art of Thai cuisine, with a contemporary Maldivian twist.

The open-air Maghrib Grill is the place to go for surf and turf feasts, while Crust & Flame serves up tasty wood-fired pizzas, juicy burgers and light bites. There’s also the option to book a private destination dining experience on a secluded sandbank, in your own villa or under a canopy of stars.

Cool off with midday refreshments from The Olive, nestled next to one of the pools. The Sunrise Bar and Dream Bar serve light bites and refreshments while in the evening, visit the Dhoni Bar to witness some of the most spectacular sunset views on the island, before heading to the vibrant Lagoon Bar for creative cocktails and live evening entertainment.

Not all restaurants and bars will be open, buffet service will be assisted, and reservations are required. Housekeeping is available or can be opted out of. Recreational group activities will be limiting capacity – some activities may only be available as private sessions. A reservation is required to access the spa and guests are requested to shower before any treatments. Capacity is limited at the kids' club and early booking is recommended – children must be aged three and over to attend.
