The resort is set in a, 100-acre rainforest on the south west coast of St Lucia, surrounded by verdant gardens, soaring trees and a white sand beach. It’s nestled within the rainforest valley of the Pitons, with one side of the Petit Piton bordering the resort. The resort is an ideal base for exploring the natural beauty of Soufriere, including its botanical gardens, drive-in volcano, sulphur springs and Toraille Waterfall. You can also hike or cycle through the spectacular trails of Chateau Belair, or arrange a trip to the island’s capital, Castries, around 28 miles away. The 21-mile drive to Hewanorra International Airport takes around 45 minutes.
The stylish cottages and villas are situated across the mountainside, offering spectacular mountain or Caribbean sea views. They are elegantly decorated with white interiors, four-poster beds and dark hard wood floors. Each enjoys a secluded garden, terrace or courtyard area, all with a private plunge pool. All rooms include butler service and they are equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine and minibar. With abundant space, the Grand Luxury Villas are ideal for families with younger children, since they provide two separate sleeping areas, in addition to an expansive private patio with a plunge pool. A beach BBQ dinner option is also available at the Jalousie Grill once a week. Alternatively, stop by Boopa’s cafe for hot drinks, smoothies and ‘grab and go’ snacks, including sandwiches, salads, wraps, cakes and ice creams.
Come evening, you can visit Jalousie Bar for light bites and cocktails, while admiring views across the shores of Anse des Pitons. You can also sample rum-infused cocktails and Asian-inspired dishes at the sophisticated Cane Bar or book a candlelit dinner in Saltwood, Sugar Beach's fine dining restaurant located in the Great House.
