Colourful flowers and tropical palm trees frame the lagoon-style pools, where friendly staff serve fresh fruits, cocktails and cool towels from traditional floating kayaks. Meanwhile, the main infinity pool sits close to the shoreline, boasting a separate Jacuzzi, swim-up bar and stunning views across the Persian Gulf. The white sand beach is just steps away, lined with additional sun loungers and parasols. The shaded sunbeds and cabanas are available, as are a range of water sports, like kayaking and water skiing (charges apply).

South East Asia meets the Middle East at the luxurious Anantara Spa, where you’ll find 24 treatment rooms, separate couples’ suites, a Turkish hammam, a steam room, a bamboo sauna, relaxation areas and more. For an additional charge, you can book a specialist Thai massage, an Arabian massage, a deep-cleansing facial or a traditional hammam experience. Thalasso wellness treatments from Thalion are also available, and the salon provides various beauty treatments. Other wellness facilities in resort include a modern fitness centre and two floodlit tennis courts.

The supervised Tuk-Tuk Kids' Club entertains children between the ages of 4 and 12 years, with fun-filled activities, games and play areas. Meanwhile, older children can hang out at the laidback Chill Teens Club, where they can play pool, foosball, air hockey and video games. Babysitting service is also available on request for a supplementary charge.

Crescendo opens daily for breakfast, offering live cooking stations and buffet spreads with local and international favourites. Dine al fresco on the poolside terrace, admiring views across the Persian Gulf, and choose from tropical fruits, egg dishes, pancakes, local mezze delicacies and more. Otherwise, grab a coffee or fruit smoothie from the Revo Café, before heading to The Beach House for a casual Mediterranean lunch beside the sea.

Set overlooking the Persian Gulf, the semi open-air Lotus Lounge is a great spot for a mid-morning coffee, light bites, afternoon tea and evening sundowners. For dinner, you can book a table at Mekong, a delightful Thai-themed restaurant with eclectic decor and an outdoor terrace with rickshaw-style tables. The a la carte menu is inspired by the diverse flavours of Thailand, China and Vietnam, and includes vegetarian and vegan options. Alternatively, Bushman’s Restaurant & Bar is an Australian-inspired steakhouse which serves an array of meat – including wagyu beef and seared kangaroo – fish, and vegetable dishes.

If you stay on a half-board basis, you can enjoy a daily buffet breakfast, followed by an a la carte lunch or dinner. Upgrade to half-board plus basis (subject to availability) to also enjoy two house alcoholic beverages during your meals – participating restaurants include Crescendo, Mekong, Bushman's, The Beach House and Revo Cafe.
