H10 Casanova occupies a restored 18th Century building in Catalonia’s capital, close to many of the city’s best-known sights. You’ll find surprisingly modern decor and a spa at this top location – as well as a rooftop plunge pool and bar in the summer months.

This hotel is directly in the heart of Barcelona. It’s roughly one mile from the shops, restaurants and bars of La Rambla, which starts at the central Placa de Catalunya and extends to the Columbus monument by the port. The triad of Gaudi’s masterpieces are all under four miles away from the hotel – there’s Casa Mila (also known as La Pedrera), which is Gaudi’s take on a typical 20th century apartment, and the awe inspiring Sagrada Familia basilica. Then, don’t forget the colourful sculptures and gardens at the tiled Park Guell. Urgell and Universitat Metro Stations are 300 metres away from the hotel, making hopping around the city easy. Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport is eight miles south-west.
