The resort boasts direct access to over two miles of powdery white coral sand beaches, a magnificent lagoon and an offshore reef where you can spot sea turtles and manta rays. The resort is also home to a PADI 5-star dive centre, which caters for beginners and experienced divers alike. The training centre has a hyperbaric compression chamber, and you can book a range of guided dive experiences for a supplement charge. Meanwhile, the shallow lagoon is ideal for an array of water sports, including stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, water skiing and wakeboarding. You can hire equipment and gear from the water sports centre, and book a range of boat excursions– including visits to the private Dream Island. You’ll find three freshwater swimming pools at the resort that overlook the Indian Ocean. This includes the main beach pool with a kids’ pool, the indulgent ‘O’ pool (12+) and the tranquil Sangu infinity pool, which is exclusively for adults (15+) staying in Sangu accommodation. Complimentary towels, parasols and sun loungers are available around the pools or on the beach.

During your stay, you can retreat to the Duniye Land Spa in the tropical gardens, or visit the Over Water Spa, which is set on stilts above the Indian Ocean. Both spas use natural products by HealingEarth and PURE in a variety of professional treatments for a supplement charge. Meanwhile, the fitness centre houses a dedicated yoga area, in addition to an ocean-facing room that’s equipped with weights and cardio equipment. You can also sign up for tennis and badminton sessions or rent a bike to explore the island here, too.

Other recreational facilities include a six-hole golf course, driving range, football pitch and volleyball court. There’s also a games room where you can play table tennis, snooker, foosball and darts, as well as a supervised kids’ club that welcomes children between the ages of 3 and 12. At the club, children can watch movies, spend time in the playground or participate in creative activities, such as coconut painting, sandcastle building, recycling workshops and jewellery making.

As part of its commitment to sustainable practises, the resort has banned the use of plastic bottles and straws. Solar panels supplement the resort’s energy requirements and electric-powered buggies carry guests around the resort. The resort’s greenhouse produces fruits and vegetables for the restaurant kitchens, and the Kuredu Marine Biology Centre has been set up to help protect the surrounding marine environment.

Savour mouth-watering culinary delights and refreshing sundowners at the resort’s six restaurants. The three main buffet-style restaurants are conveniently spread across the island, catering for three different accommodation areas. Bonthi Restaurant is open for guests in the Garden Bungalows, Beach Bungalows and Premium Beach Bungalows, and the Koamas Restaurant serves guests in Beach Villas, Deluxe Beach Villas, Premium Beach Villas and Jacuzzi Beach Villas. Meals for guests in the O Beach Villas and O Jacuzzi Beach Villas (12+) are served in the O Restaurant, and the Sangu Restaurant serves meals for guests staying in all room types within in Sangu resort area (15+). Guests staying in Private Pool Villas can choose where they dine (restrictions apply with children). All restaurants feature ‘all you can eat’ buffets.

The three a la carte options include Franco’s, the Mediterranean-themed restaurant, and The Far East, which specializes in Asian-Fusion cuisine. The more casual Beach Shack prepares fresh, local seafood and vegetarian dishes, and optional snack menus are available at all restaurant bars.

There are a variety of other bars dotted around the island, including Babuna Bar, the main entertainment venue, and the candlelit Akiri Bar. You can also quench your thirst at the Golf Bar, order a cocktail at the Pool Bar or soak up the relaxed ambience of Sai Kotari Tea House, which features underwater lights so you can watch the marine life after sunset.

Children are welcome in the Garden Bungalows, Beach Bungalows, Beach Villas, Premium Beach Villas, Jacuzzi Beach Villas and Private Pool Villas. Only those who are aged 12 years and above can stay in the ‘O Resort’ area and use the ‘O Resort’ swimming pool and ‘O’ Bar. Please note that the 'Sangu Resort' area is for guests aged 15 and over – this includes all 'Sangu' room types and facilities in the 'Sangu' resort area.
