Six Senses Ibiza sits on a rocky shoreline on Xarracara Bay. This remote part of the island is a world away from the party-going south and made up of rocky cliffs and protected forests. If you do venture out, the sleepy village of Portinatx is around a mile away. It’s home to beautiful beaches, clear waters and a small selection of restaurants. Five miles inland, you’ll find Sant Joan de Labritja, known for its artisan market selling trinkets, fashion, crafts and homegrown produce. Ibiza Town is 18 miles away on the south coast and worth a visit for its cultural attractions, trendy marina and nightlife. Ibiza Airport is 22 miles from the hotel.
The hotel is built into a rocky headland, with most buildings facing the sea and sunset. Roofs are planted up with greenery, helping the buildings merge into the surroundings. There are on-site trainers, therapists and teachers, in addition to visits from international experts. Book a traditional massage or head to the Longevity clinic for Biohacking. Some highlights include composition analysis, IV infusions, nutritional guidance, compression boots and more. Alternatively, take time out in the sauna, hammam and experience showers before a make-your-own potion workshop at the alchemy bar – using ingredients grown in the spa’s garden. You can also join a plethora of group activities including meditation, yoga, sound baths, breathwork and more.
Once you’ve found your zen in the spa, you can head to the shore for paddleboarding and kayaking, or slow down with a book in the on-site library. Dine on Mediterranean cuisine amongst one-hundred-year-old olive trees at Partal or head to The Orchard for Italian dining ranging from homemade pasta and pizza to sharing plates paired with hearty reds.
Pharmacy Bar offers poolside pick-me-ups, cocktails and views over the infinity pool and bay. For eclectic music, Latin American dining and crafted cocktails, take a seat at The Beach Caves. Inside there’s an arty wall mural and there’s a lounge area on the rocks outside – a perfect spot to watch the sunset with a crips white wine.
