Head to Spa Poz for a wholesome wellness experience. Treatments and products are all natural using locally sourced brand Indika. Each product is vegan, handmade and uses recyclable packaging. Spa amenities include a hammam, relaxing pool, beauty room and relaxation area. 5% of the spa’s profits are donated to Green Attitude Foundation, which aims to protect the local environment, economy and communities. Unwind some more with a cup of traditional Mauritian tea and your newest read in the snug library by the self-service tea bar.

There’s a range of activities whether you want to recharge or blow off some steam. There are four swimming pools to choose from or you can head to the lagoon for a variety of water sports. Try stand-up paddle boarding, water aerobics, glass-bottom boat, kayaking, windsurfing, snorkelling or a PADI dive course. You can even climb aboard the hotel's own catamaran and take to the water on one of the daily excursions (charges apply). Be sure to slather yourself in the hotel's complimentary mineral sun cream, it's made locally and packed with natural Mauritian ingredients – you'll find it dotted around the communal spaces throughout the resort. Back on land, you’ll find a gym and a tennis court, or you can join in a session of yoga, Thai Chi and more. When the sun sinks, the hotel's sweet, open-air cinema lights up the night. Popping up once a month, catch all the latest showings under the stars.

Zilwa Attitude also offers its Otentik Experiences for those who want to dive into local culture. Wander through bustling bazaars for unique souvenirs, share a home-cooked meal with a local family or master the art of street food in a hands-on cooking session. Plus, there's a free app packed with interactive guides and walking audio tours, making it even easier to explore like a true insider.

Children will love the kids’ club, hosted by mascot Ayo the Dodo, a bird turned pirate. Each day brings new experiences and adventures from shows, arts and crafts and pool games to boat rides and a treasure hunt on Robinson’s Island (Gran Zil). Travelling with children is easy with cots, changing mats, baby baths, highchairs, baby food and even birthday cake available on request. There’s a dedicated baby changing and feeding room and babysitting is available at a charge.

Breakfast is served in the main restaurant Karay, the Creole word for a Mauritian kitchen utensil that’s the counterpart of the wok in Chinese kitchens. The three dining areas are widely opened on to the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the beach and lagoon beyond. For breakfast you can choose from croissants, sweet bread, buns and brioches as well as Mauritian delicacies and exotic fruits. Dinner at Karay allows you to taste various buffet options with a different theme each evening of the week.

Lor Disab is Creole for 'right on the beach' – and that’s exactly where you’ll find it. At lunch grab a quick sandwich, salad or a Mauritian dish, including the upside down rice bowl with its signature tomato chutney. Or enjoy an adult-only dinner with a local touch. Grand Zil serves up drinks and barbeque while Tadka plates up Indian specialties, with decor likened to the beautiful sarees worn in India, while Manao serves up authentic Thai flavours. Feel at home at Kot Nou with genuine Mauritian home cooking served tapas-style or grab a fast-food bite at Taba-J featuring local favourites such as rotis, faratas and Dholl Puris. Siro Kann is the main hotel bar which offers a range of creations including home-made rum-based cocktails made with fresh fruits. Head to TeaBaz, the hotel's sleek, self-service tea bar for refreshing hot and cold infusions, and locally sourced blends – bliss.

Zilwa Attitude is Travelife Gold certified. They have zero single-use plastic in the guest experience and train staff in eco-responsible actions. Other initiatives include products supplied locally, no motorised water sports and on arrival you’ll receive a reusable Dopper water bottle to use at the hotel’s drinking fountains.

Please note, swimsuits and sarongs are not welcomed in the restaurants. A casual smart dress code is recommended in the restaurants in the evening. Smart shorts or Bermudas are permitted in all restaurants (at all properties) during the evenings.
