The huge range of facilities makes this resort perfect for all ages. There are two freshwater swimming pools (including an infinity pool for adults-only) and a children’s wading pool. You can explore the lagoon’s underwater world by booking PADI-certified courses and guided activities on reef conservation at the dive centre. The hotel runs three snorkelling boat trips per day, which are subject to availability and require reservation. Boat trips are complimentary, however please note that snorkelling equipment incurs extra costs. You can try a range of water sports offshore, such as windsurfing, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding.

At the island’s core, you’ll find a driving range and nine-hole 'pitch ‘n putt' golf course, a fitness centre, a football pitch, a badminton court and two illuminated padel tennis courts. There’s also the option to play beach volleyball, hire a bike and hang out in the two games rooms. Children can access the separate kids’ play room or play in the open-air playground. Plus, there’s a small museum dedicated to Maldivian history and culture, which houses the impressive blue whale skeleton.

Retreat to the television room or library for a spot of relaxation, or indulge at the Duniye Spa, which is split across two sites – one is above the water and the other is on land. For a supplement charge, you can book a wealth of spa treatments that incorporate organic ingredients, as well as special spa packages for couples.

In the evenings, enjoy a Maldivian culture and history presentation, dance shows, live DJ performances, movie nights and live music.

At Meeru Maldives Resort Island, you’ll discover two buffet-style restaurants, four a la carte restaurants, a coffee shop and six bars. Located on opposite sides of the island, the family-friendly Farivalhu and adult-only Maalan restaurants offer international buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner in open, sandy-floored spaces. For a la carte dining, try the overwater Asian Wok Restaurant, which offers Asian cuisine, such as teppanyaki, or visit Vilu where you can savour Mediterranean dishes. A-Mare is your go-to for Italian classics, while The Reef is a blissful beachfront grill spot with fresh sea food on the menu. For snacks, light meals and refreshments, visit Meeru Cafe, Dhoni Bar, Pavilion Bar, Kakuni Bar and the adult-only Uthuru Bar. For a more intimate evening, you can order room service or book a private dining experience on the beach at an additional charge.

If you stay on a full-board basis, you can enjoy a daily buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner at one of the two designated buffet-style restaurants.
