Stroll through the manicured gardens, amongst abundant water fountains and majestic palm trees. Meandering pathways will take you to the beach, pools and sister hotels. The resort’s four pristine swimming pools include two sea-view pools, a grand family-friendly pool and an adult-only pool. You’ll also find loungers or gazebos along the hotel’s private beach area, where you can enjoy drinks service throughout the day.

If you’re feeling active, play a game of beach volleyball, go on a sunset stroll or sign up for an array of water sports, from kayaking to windsurfing (supplement charges apply except for snorkelling). There are also three floodlit tennis courts on site, in addition to a putting green and a modern fitness studio.

Children will love the kids’ club and playground. The KidsOnly at One&Only Royal Mirage caters for children between the ages 4 to 11, where trained staff oversee a range of exciting activities, including sand sculpting, camping, dancing and henna painting. Children under the age of four are welcome to use the club’s facilities, too, although they must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. Families can also take advantage of complimentary access to the nearby Atlantis Aquaventure water park – one ticket per person, per day, is included with each stay of three nights or more.

Adults should retreat to the secluded One&Only Spa, which is nestled in lush gardens. You can book a range of invigorating body scrubs, facials, after-sun treatments and massages – or a signature deep-cleansing treatment in the traditional hammam – all for an additional charge. Before or after treatments, you can relax in the gendered steam rooms, saunas and plunge pools.

There are 16 superb restaurants and bars in resort. Dine on authentic Mediterranean cuisine at Olives, which opens for breakfast and dinner, or head to the Beach Bar & Grill for lunchtime salads and fresh grilled seafood overlooking the Arabian Gulf. For a taste of Morocco in the evening, visit Tagine. Plus, Rotisserie features an impressive show kitchen, where Middle Eastern and European favourites are prepared, while the stylish Eauzone specialises in modern Asian cuisine with a twist. The Jetty Lounge is the ideal place to watch the sun set and listen to laidback music. At the Drift Beach Club, adults can order a variety of drinks and Mediterranean fare along the stunning shores of the Arabian Gulf.

The half-board programme includes a set la carte lunch or dinner at Beach Bar & Grill, Tagine, Eauzone and Arabian Courtyard, as well as buffet dinner at Rotisserie and Olives – all of which are located at One&Only Royal Mirage resort. You can also choose to enjoy lunch at Samovar Lounge or DRIFT Beach Dubai (6+) as part of your half-board package, or opt for breakfast at DRIFT Beach Dubai (6+).
