The central focus of the property is the free-form pool, which is surrounded by well-maintained gardens and sprawling palm trees. A walkway bridge crosses the pool and there’s a separate whirlpool and kids’ splash pool. Lounge chairs are placed around the poolside, extending down towards the beach which is just steps away. Make the most of friendly ambassadors, who offer cold scented flannels, ice lollies or fruit refreshments throughout the day.

The resort offers a range of recreational activities if you fancy a break from sunbathing. Walk along the beach to the neighbouring property to find an array of complimentary water sports, including snorkelling, sailing and kayaking. Kids can enjoy the Aqua School which provides free surfing and paddle boarding lessons. If you feel like swimming in the sea, keep in mind that the waters can sometimes be rougher on this side of the island.

You’ll also find a small on-site gym, two floodlit tennis courts and a choice of fitness classes available, including timetabled yoga and spin. You can also book a range of salon and spa treatments at the reception or embrace cultural excursions and workshops which are organised by the hotel.

The Flying Fish Kids' Club provides daily supervised activities for children aged 3 to 12 years old. Kids can participate in being an honorary Bajan Adventurer by enjoying a range of activities such as calypso dancing, steel drum lessons, bajan cookery, arts and crafts and beach cricket. Children may also enjoy special meal areas and timings in the hotel's restaurants. A menu of child-friendly dishes is available in the early part of the evening so that children may eat earlier.

Turtle Beach has three main restaurants and three bars. The main dining outlet is Chelonia. Set among lofty pillars and trickling waterfalls, it is a lively, open-air restaurant serving international cuisine. The breakfast buffet includes eggs made-to-order, a waffle station, cereals, juice, smoked salmon an assortment of breads and muffins and traditional hot sides. For dinner, dine from the sumptuous themed buffet offered nightly or order from the a la carte menu. You can enjoy a casual, lunchtime buffet at the Sand Trap Restaurant followed by an authentic Italian meal at Asagio’s – which is open in the evenings. Asiago’s is a Zagat-rated Italian restaurant, designed for adult-only dining (for ages 12 years and above). For laid-back dining by the waterfront, head back to Sand Trap Restaurant which serves light fare and a buffet featuring local Caribbean and Mediterranean inspired dishes.

The hotel offers further snack and beverage experiences with The Freeze Ice Cream Parlour and the Half Moon Coffee & Deli. Plus, there are carts which serve light refreshments such as snow cones and coconut drinks.

You’ll enjoy complimentary exchange dining at Crystal Cove, Treasure Beach, Waves Hotel & Spa and Tamarind. Theme nights may also incur a supplement. A complimentary water taxi operates between west coast hotels during daylight hours. In the evening, you must use a regular taxi service at your own expense. The dress code stipulates that shirts and footwear are required at breakfast and swimwear should remain dry and covered up. For dinner, there is an elegant casual dress code which states that men are to wear either tailored knee-length shorts, pants or jeans. Caps, sleeveless tank tops, swim trunks or cargo shorts should not be worn for dinner.
