Tigotan Lovers & Friends is an adult-only resort for those looking to relax and explore the island of Tenerife. Centrally placed in Playa de las Americas, this property offers a spectacular rooftop that gazes out towards the sea, complete with an infinity pool, whirlpool and sun terrace. There’s also a laidback main pool, a games room and a choice of restaurant and bars.
The hotel lies in the south west of Tenerife, about half a mile from the shores of Playa de las Americas. There’s an abundance of shops and restaurants on the surrounding streets, and the Siam Mall is just over a mile away. If you’re feeling adventurous, take a trip to the volcanic summits of Mount Teide in Teide National Park, about 40 miles away. Tenerife South Airport lies about ten and a half miles east from the hotel.
Standard rooms have cream tiled floors, beach-themed artwork and blue and white soft furnishings. These rooms are the same size as all other rooms and can be booked with pool views or for single occupancy. In contrast, some of the higher-category rooms feature more neutral decor, with wooden floors, cream walls and beige accents. Romance rooms appeal to couples, with an open-plan layout and hydromassage bathtub. Double Exclusive Pool View rooms also offer access to a dinner in the Santa Rosa Grill restaurant (once per seven days, with a minimum stay of three nights, drinks excluded, reservations required), access to the Exclusive Lounge where you’ll find drinks and appetisers at select times, a 15% discount on massages and treatments at the spa and complimentary sun lounger reservations when booked a day in advance (exclusions apply).

The main outdoor pool is the focal point of the hotel, surrounded by sunbeds, palm trees, a pool bar and multiple hot tubs – including a spacious tub which seats up to 16 people. Take the lift up to the rooftop, where you’ll discover two more infinity pools, divided by a spacious whirlpool which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and nearby La Gomera island. Waiter service is available and Balinese beds can be hired for a supplementary charge.
The rooftop also features a designated sunbathing area for naturists– in addition to the hotel's iconic Café del Mar, where you can order cocktails and listen to DJ music on most evenings. A small wellness centre is located away from the main rooftop deck, offering a spa with a steam room and a gym with Technogym equipment.
On the ground floor you will find a gym, modern games room, outfitted with two flat-screen TVs, various games consoles and several board games. There’s also a reading area on this floor with a library of books and computers. The hotel promises a diverse entertainment programme, ranging from flamenco dancing to live DJ sets. At the 24-hour reception desk, you can also arrange car or bicycle hires.

Areca Restaurant serves local and international buffet dishes for breakfast and dinner. You can enjoy the light and airy ambience indoors, or head out to the terrace which overlooks the pool. In the evening, the restaurant serves different thematic dinner buffets which can include Mexican, Italian, Spanish and Canarian cuisines. At the Santa Rosa Grill, order a range of Argentinian dishes which have been expertly cooked in the charcoal oven; the signature T bone steak with chimichurri sauce is a popular choice.
Beach Club serves a range of drinks, including cocktails and hot beverages. An a la carte lunch service is also available here for a supplementary charge. In the lobby, there’s another spacious bar that’s perfect for a coffee or aperitif, and Cafe del Mar is an inviting rooftop venue where DJs perform most evenings.
