Stretching along one of Mauritius’ finest beaches, the LUX* Belle Mare is a chic retreat that encapsulates the island’s natural beauty and charm. The resort’s sugar-white sand beach is lapped by the lagoon’s cerulean waters, and there’s a large central swimming pool overlooking the Indian Ocean. LUX* Belle Mare sits on Mauritius’ east coast with direct access to a white sand beach and a coral-protected lagoon that’s ideal for swimming, snorkelling and glass-bottom boat rides. You can tour the colourful stalls at Flacq Market, around five miles from the resort. There are four golf courses within a four-mile radius, including Ile Aux Cerfs Golf Course and Anahita Golf Course and the two championship courses at Constance Belle Mare Plage − The Links and The Legend. Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport sits on the island’s south east coast, around 38 miles from the property.
The thatch-roofed accommodation showcases a chic style throughout. Experts at the LUX* Me Spa and Fitness centre can provide you with tailor-made exercises, yoga classes and fitness programmes, designed to maximise your wellbeing. You can also book a signature massage, facial or body treatment here, and use the sauna, steam room, plunge pool and relaxation gardens.
Activity-wise, you can participate in complimentary water sports – including pedal boating, windsurfing, kayaking and snorkelling. For a supplement charge, you can also book dive excursions with PADI-qualified diving instructors, who will take you to dive sites that are just ten minutes away by boat. Alternatively, you can join a group bike tour, play tennis on two floodlit courts or get creative at the Junk Art shop, where you can use recycled materials to make ornaments, artwork and jewellery. Come evening, you can catch an impromptu movie on the beach, enjoy the diverse evening entertainment or stop by the red telephone box to make free international calls back home.
At PLAY, children between the ages of 3 and 12 can discover the island's incredible nature and culture, as well as a range of high-energy sports and supervised outdoor activities. Studio 17 is the complimentary teens' club, which provides local dance classes, beach activities, video games, competitions and exciting adventure trips around the island to guests between the ages of 12 and 17.

Open for breakfast and dinner, Mondo offers live cooking stations, an Asian corner, a curry corner, a chocolate room and a display of pastries and desserts.
During the day, you can enjoy cocktails and tapas at Beach Rouge, the resort’s Mediterranean-style beach club and restaurant. You can also order a coffee and cake at Café LUX*.
For out-of-this-world Asian fare, try Duck Laundry, or spice things up with Amari by Vineet’s, where you’ll find a tempting menu with Indian-inspired delicacies.
