The popular LUX* South Ari Atoll lies on a paradisiacal island in the Maldives, where pure white sandy expanses meet shallow, crystal-clear waters. This luxurious five-star resort is surrounded by marine-protected lagoons, where you can participate in water sports, from diving to hoverboarding. Their classic Maldivian villas sit on stilts above the water and are dotted among palm trees, overlooking the wide sandy beach. During your stay you can watch a movie on the beach, indulge at the LUX* Me spa, lounge by two turquoise pools or learn about the native aquatic species with the resident marine biologist. The resort is also family-friendly, with dedicated clubs for kids and teens, and an excellent array of dining options.
LUX* South Ari Atoll occupies the entire island of Dhidhoofinolhu in the Maldives’ South Ari Atoll. The island is situated within a spectacular, marine-protected area of the Indian Ocean, home to manta rays, sea turtles, dolphins and whale sharks. The resort can be reached via a 30-minute seaplane transfer from Velana International Airport.
The ultra-chic thatched beachfront villas and pavilions are characteristic of the Maldives, and contemporary overwater villas have steps that lead directly into the lagoon. Spacious bathrooms contain a separate bathtub and shower – and some villas have an indoor-outdoor bathroom layout. Beach Pool Villas boast a private plunge pool and an outdoor shower, as well as a fabulous terrace with direct beach access.
