The traditional Pestana Village Garden Resort Aparthotel is set within 5000 m2 of stunning, tropical gardens. This peaceful property is located in Funchal, Madeira, and boasts friendly staff. The resort features several restaurants and three bars, two large outdoor pools, an indoor pool and a health club. It also shares access to the facilities at the neighbouring Pestana Miramar.
This secluded village-style complex is located between Funchal and the Lido coastal promenade. The promenade is bordered by impressive botanical gardens and links the Lido area with the pebbled Praia Formosa beach. The vibrant city centre of Funchal is less than a mile from the hotel, where you can enjoy beautiful parks, as well as restaurants, bars and lively nightlife. Funchal International Airport is under 15 miles from the resort.
The property’s pastel low-rise buildings are nestled amongst well-tended gardens. Rooms are decorated in a typical Madeiran style, using warm colours, tiled floors and iron furnishings. The club is well-equipped with exercise machines, as well as a sauna, steam bath, a second whirlpool and a massage room that offers excellent pampering treatments. Pestana Village has three on-site restaurants and two bars. Pausa Burger is adjacent to the pool, overlooking the Miramar hotel boasting views over Funchal harbour. Burgers are the speciality here, taken on the terrace for lunch. Snacks are served during the day at Bar A Proa, while Bar A Fonte is the place to head to in the evening for daily live music and cocktails. In addition, The Tea House – set in the middle of the Winter Garden – serves a variety of treats.
You are also welcome to a further two restaurants at Pestana Miramar. Restaurant A Vila serves breakfast and international themed dinners. Otherwise, stop by the Mediterranean-inspired Miramar Restaurant and Adega Madeirense Restaurant for grilled fish, meat and traditional Madeiran dishes.
