If self-care is your priority, you will feel right at home here. Start your stay at the hotel’s freshwater infinity pool, complete with grey sun loungers and stunning sea views. Once you’ve had your fill poolside, amble down to the shingle beach with beachside drinks service. If you’re feeling adventurous, have a go at stand-up paddle boarding or take to the seas with some snorkelling. Otherwise, drop in on a Greek wine tasting session with an emphasis on Corfiot varieties. They are held once per week.

There are three restaurants and two bars to indulge in. San Giovanni Restaurant hosts a buffet with international favourites and Greek specialities for breakfast and dinner. Enjoy its selection, surrounded by pink oleanders, as you peep the shimmering sea through its elegant arches. Next to the pool, Aquavit Restaurant keeps your energy levels topped up in between dips with salads, sandwiches and lemonades. Apaggio is the place to be for an a la carte dinner featuring moussaka, mezze plates and sea views on the terrace.

Tempting tipples, like wine and cocktails await at Heritage – the lobby bar. Here you can sit back with a mojito in hand, while piano music drifts below the high ceilings and imposing arches. Don’t miss a Greek coffee or bite of baklava in the courtyard at the Greek Kafeneio – only open midday and twice per week, or head to the Orangerie, where a patio beckons you with sea views and plenty of refreshments.
