Set in a former 1940s plantation house, Cobblers Cove is an intimate beachfront hotel which successfully combines English elegance with Caribbean charm. You’ll experience first-rate service throughout your stay and find a variety of activities and facilities which are popular with couples and families alike. Sunbathe on the pontoon deck, meander through lovely tropical gardens – including a small orchard – and treat yourself at the Sea Moon Salon. Located on the stunning west coast of Barbados, this colonial-style property overlooks a secluded golden sand beach which stretches down to historic Speightstown (under a mile away). There are an increasing number of shops, restaurants and bars on Speightstown’s beachfront and further into the town. Bridgetown is under ten miles away and Grantley Adams International Airport is 21 miles from Cobblers Cove.
The light and spacious suites offer a combination of authentic Caribbean comfort with contemporary style. They are tastefully decorated in white and cream tones, enhanced by pastel-coloured soft furnishings which are either floral or paisley patterned. Each suite features a spacious sitting room, outfitted with wicker furniture and a selection of books (there are no televisions, but you can access the Wi-Fi). Also find a kitchenette with a complimentary, stocked minibar and tea and coffee making facilities. Living areas open out onto a large, shady balcony or veranda. Choose between garden and ocean view suites, or upgrade to an oceanfront suite to be closest to the sea.

The on-site swimming pool is modest in size but nonetheless inviting. It’s surrounded by lush foliage and exotic palm trees and is next to the vast sun deck area which overlooks the ocean. Dining tables, chairs, umbrellas and sunbeds can be found all around, and you can order signature cocktails from the poolside bar.
The beach itself is not wide enough for sunbathing but you can easily take a stroll or swim to the anchored pontoon – which is within swimming distance. Also visit the beach to enjoy complimentary water sports, whether you feel like sailing, paddle boarding, snorkelling or water skiing (every guest enjoys a complimentary waterski each day of their stay). If you prefer working out on land, there’s an on-site tennis court, a fitness centre and you can book yoga sessions for a supplement. For golfers, Cobblers Cove offers preferential rates at the Royal Westmoreland Golf Club which is under five miles away.
After all the action, unwind at the Sea Moon Salon where you can indulge in an array of massages and beauty treatments – all of which use specialist products by Tata Harper and St. Lucy Botanists. You can also ask reception for a guided tour of the gardens, palm house and orchard.

Cobblers Cove’s oceanfront restaurant, The Camelot, is renowned for its superior, Bajan cuisine and is popular with guests and locals alike. This charming venue is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Try the freshly caught fish (caught by the hotel’s fisherman), which is grilled to perfection or the extensive wine list. There are also several barbecues each week as well as the Island Night buffet, held once a week. Complimentary afternoon tea is served daily, offering a tempting selection of finger sandwiches, cakes and scones. During your stay, be sure to try signature Cobbler’s Coolers at the bar.
