If you’re after an easy, all-inclusive escape on a beautiful Bahamian beach, Hotel Riu Palace Paradise Island ticks the basics. It’s adult-only, right on sugar soft sands and one of the few all-inclusives in the area. Expect round-the-clock all-inclusive dining and free Wi-Fi as standard. Hotel Riu Palace Paradise Island is situated on a prime stretch of Cabbage Beach with a mile-long strip of white sand and turquoise seas. Paradise Island lies across the Sidney Poitier Bridge from the country’s capital Nassau, with its popular colonial architecture, 18th Century forts, botanical gardens and Pirates of Nassau museum. The hotel is also just a five-minute walk from Atlantis, the island’s flagship resort, with its casino, extensive nightly entertainments and water park. There’s a small cluster of shops five minutes' drive away. You can go scuba diving and snorkelling around the School House coral reef, or hire a jet ski on Cabbage Beach and visit charming local coves. Lynden Pindling International Airport is about 13 miles away.
This 14-storey hotel’s design is bold, brash and a little mishmash. You’ll find everything from art deco to pop art inside, with high ceilings and statement lighting throughout. Some spaces feel a little dated, but rooms are big, breezy and come with all the essentials – including minibars, beverage dispensers, air conditioning and coffee machines.

There are six restaurants to choose from. Atlantic serves three buffet-style meals with generous continental breakfast spreads including freshly blended fruit smoothies and a serve-yourself bloody mary and buck’s fizz station.
Krystal serves Mediterranean fusion fare, while Tengoku dishes up sushi and other Japanese delicacies. At lunchtimes the poolside jerk hut is a popular draw, serving up spicy barbecued pork and chicken dishes.
Hotel staff can arrange a special romantic al fresco dinner on request, at an additional charge. You can also try delicious snacks and specialty coffees at the patisserie and ice-cream parlour called Capuchino.
In addition to Soca, the swim-up pool bar, there’s Calypso, a 24-hour indoor sports bar serving cinema-style nachos and a range of refrigerated snacks you can help yourself to. Enjoy a welcome drink of sparkling wine upon arrival while you settle into your accommodation.
