Overview

Iberostar Grand Salome is a luxurious all-inclusive, adult-only hotel, situated on the south coast of Tenerife. This beachfront property features two outdoor pools and 33 spacious suites – all with personalised butler service. The vast spa offers a hydro wellness circuit and traditional Chinese and Thai therapies.

The hotel sits opposite the popular Blue Flag Fañabé Beach, fringed with palm trees, fine sand and warm, clear waters. It’s a perfect spot for a swim, a bite to eat or a ride on a jet ski. The centre of upmarket Costa Adeje is just under two miles from the hotel, where you’ll find a variety of bars, restaurants and shops. Meanwhile, the sophisticated 18-hole Golf Costa Adeje course is approximately three miles away. It features a pro shop and an upscale restaurant, in addition to classes. Tenerife's South Airport, known as the Reina Sofía Airport, is around 12 miles from the hotel.

The boutique hotel houses only 33 modern suites. Each spacious suite boasts a sea view, furnished terrace, living room and whirlpool bath for two people. There’s a coffee maker, kettle, Bluetooth sound system and a pillow menu for extra comfort. In addition, the personalised butler service will indulge your particular requests at any time of the day, whether you seek preferential restaurant bookings or help with your luggage.

Other facilities

There are two outdoor pools, surrounded by sun loungers and parasols and a pool bar which serves cool drinks and snacks. SPA Sensations is a wellness centre with more than 23 treatments and rituals, including massages based on traditional Chinese and Thai medicine. Their relaxing wine bath is particularly unique. The Hydro wellness circuit includes a thermal circuit, Finnish sauna, cold well, pool heated to 34 degrees and sensations showers. You can also work out at the two on-site fitness centres. Classes include yoga, Pilates and aerobics, and you can play tennis, paddle tennis or table tennis.

Dining information

Mirador Terrace is the hotel’s only on-site restaurant. It’s open for breakfast only and boasts fantastic views of the island of La Gomera. Enjoy fresh juices, milkshakes with chia seeds, traditional Pan de Cristal bread with Iberian ham, and French pastries.

You can also dine in four restaurants, two of them a la carte, at Iberostar Selection Anthelia. Zeus is the main buffet restaurant, open every day for buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, with show cooking stations in the evening. Portofino Italian Restaurant serves focaccia, bruschetta, mozzarella and fresh pasta, as well as delicious oven-baked pizzas. The a la carte Poseidon Gourmet Restaurant, headed up by Jose Miguel Barrera and his team, uses only local ingredients for dishes including foie gras with spiced bread or braised sea bass on a bed of baby beans with ham and cockles. For a taste of traditional Canary Island dishes, head to Barbacoa Restaurant for lunch. The sister hotel has three bars, too. Please note reservations are required for a la carte restaurants.

Additional information

In response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) not all restaurants and bars will be open and reservations will be required, with a choice of two sittings available. If you are on a half board or all-inclusive meal plan, staying for seven nights or more, you can choose to dine in Poseidon once during your stay. There will be no bar countertop seating or service. There will be restricted access to the spa’s indoor pool, one free use if you’re on all-inclusive, otherwise it’s at a charge. The solarium will also have a reduced capacity. You will be required to wear a mask in buffet and public areas of the hotel. There will be no valet parking available at this time.
