With lush, fragrant gardens, incredible sea views at every turn, a swimming pool set into the terrace, spa treatments and a panoramic restaurant, the only thing you’re encouraged to do is relax and unwind.

The Grand Hotel President enjoys a striking clifftop setting, providing enviable views across the Sorrentine Peninsular, the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. There’s a free shuttle service that can drop you into the centre of Sorrento less than two miles away. Naples International Airport can be reached in around 35 miles. With good transport links it’s also easy to reach the Isle of Capri and the charming islands of Procida and Ischia.

Guest rooms are classically furnished in warm colours – the patterned floors will give you tile envy, influenced by hand painted tiles originating from Vietri, in the province of Salerno. Although all rooms have balconies, you won’t regret upgrading to one with a sea view.

The hotel’s swimming pool is elevated above the Gulf of Naples After a refreshing dip, recline on one of the sun loungers lining the pool terrace or take advantage of the hydromassage tub. For a change of scenery you can also sit back on the Terrace of the Sirens; this large panoramic terrace is furnished with sun beds, umbrellas and comfortable sofas too.

The President restaurant may be best known for its Partenopean dishes made with aromatic fragrances, there’s also a choice of national and international dishes too. An a la carte menu is sometimes available weather permitting, so you can enjoy alfresco dining and those views you’ll never tire of. The poolside Snack Bar will keep you refreshed with drinks, snacks and lunch.
