Made up of several lagoon-style pools, the sprawling pool area is the main draw here. Climb the mountainous Emerald Splash monument and speed down the slides. For little ones, a separate water playground comes with fun sea life sculptures, shallow waters and a gentle slide. Hidden under the Emerald Splash slides is an adult-oriented pool area, with a cocktail-stocked swim-up bar.
This resort is an excellent choice for families. From the smiley welcome to the spacious rooms, children are well accommodated. The roomy and modern kids’ club is filled with fun activities and a soft play area with a ball pit. Plus, it’s open till 20:00, so adults can squeeze in a child-free dinner.
Elsewhere, there’s a gym with cardio and weight machines, as well as free weights.
Dining information
Taking its name from the Hawaiian word for treasure, Wai Wai Restaurant is certainly a gem. The large dining area is spread over two floors, dotted with striking wooden pillars. Breakfast is served from the buffet, which includes Thai and international dishes – great for young fussy eaters, as well as adventurous taste buds. Lunch and dinner is served a la carte. In the centre of the restaurant is Wai Wai Bar, which wraps around an ancient-looking tree.
When only a coffee and a sweet treat will do, head to Coffee Cups. Perk up on delectable coffee options, home-made baked treats, tasty teas and refreshing juices.
There are also two swim-up bars. Pool Bar is conveniently located in the kids’ pool area serving snacks and tropical cocktails, while Cave Bar is shaded beneath the Emerald Splash Slider, giving it a secret bar feel.
