Veranda Pointe aux Biches is a pretty boutique hotel in northern Mauritius. Split into two areas, the resort offers separate family-friendly and adult-only havens, both sharing a beachy, barefoot vibe. Its facilities include a beach, waterfront spa, kids’ club and choice of dining venues.
Set on the palm-studded beachfront, direct access to sand and sea is always steps away. Plus, the resort shuttle transports you to the popular, photogenic Trou aux Biches beach five times per week. The lively coastal village of Grand Baie is six miles away, and offers a large selection of bars, shops, restaurants and even nightclubs for those looking to stay out until late. Mauritius’ capital of Port Louis is 11 miles south and Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport is 40 miles south-east – an approximate transfer time of one hour and fifteen minutes by car.
Your barefoot stay begins at the sandy-floored reception, the first in a series of thatched buildings that comprise the resort. Rooms are simply and tastefully decorated, with cool tiled floors, white walls and pine furniture. Comfort, Superior and Family rooms – the latter with an additional kids’ space with bunk beds – are located in the family-friendly area of the resort. To stay in the Sandy Lane adult-only village, choose a Privilege room, which also provides access to the adult-only pool, bar and restaurant.

Dining information
Senses restaurant, set in a thatched open-air building, overlooks the sea and serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. You can also enjoy an a la carte lunch or dinner at Sun Deck and grab snacks and refreshments from Foot Loose bar. The adult-only Sandy Lane restaurant, exclusively for guests staying in Privilege rooms, is open for dinner Monday to Saturday, and the adult-only Lazy Pool Bar provides daily refreshments.
Half board includes breakfast and dinner at Senses. If you're staying in a Privilege room, you can enjoy an alternative dinner at Sandy Lane. You can also receive a dining credit towards dinner at Sundeck restaurant.
