Local information
After leaving the airport, look out for the road sign indicating R21 Pretoria/Kempton Park on your left, with the turn-off located shortly thereafter. Follow the road signs to Pretoria and N1 Polokwane. After approximately 36 kilometers, you will see large signs over the highway; follow the directional signage for Pretoria and N1 Polokwane/North and turn onto this highway. Continue past several off-ramps until you see signs for a toll road called Bakwena Platinum Highway/N4/Rustenburg. Take the left slip lane off the N1 Highway to join this toll road. You are now on the N4 Highway. Continue on the N4, passing through three toll gates and the town of Rustenburg. Approximately six kilometers beyond Rustenburg, take the off-ramp marked Sun City/Phokeng. Proceed through the village of Boshoek, where it is recommended to refuel as there is no fuel available inside the reserve. Continue until you reach a stop street indicating a right turn to Sun City. Do not turn right to Sun City; instead, continue straight along the R565 Road for approximately 39.4 kilometers, passing Black Rhino Reserve and the Pilanesberg Platinum Mine turnoff. Turn left at Kayakulu onto a tar road and continue straight along the D548 Road for 24.8 kilometers until you reach a T-junction. Turn right at the T-junction onto a tar road signposted Derdepoort. After about 10 kilometers, you will pass signs to Obakeng Village on your left; continue straight for another 10 kilometers. At this point, due to a road closure, you will need to turn left towards Madikwe/Molatedi Gate, as signposted. Proceed towards Molatedi Village, and do not take the Derdepoort turning to the right. Continue straight through the village, where the road transitions from tar to gravel, and cross the Marico River, approximately 14 kilometers further. Continue straight through the first boom gate and proceed another seven kilometers to reach the Molatedi Gate entrance to Madikwe Game Reserve. The gate staff will sign you in and provide directions to Jacis Lodges. After entering through the Molatedi Gate, turn immediately right and follow the signs to Jacis Lodges.
Game drives are offered in the mornings and afternoons/evenings (including a night drive)and are conducted by our experienced field guides. Walks are also available for the more adventurous at an additional cost. Sun City resort is situated 110km's from Jaci's lodges.
